Ballet of Los Angeles (1988)

Three years after his Los Angeles Ballet folded, John Clifford formed a new ballet group called Ballet of Los Angeles. The company operated between 1988 and 1991. Ballet of Los Angeles was a smaller chamber sized company with 16 dancers, many of which were part of the former Los Angeles Ballet. In its inaugural season, the company completed a 28 city national tour to take over defunct Chicago City Ballet’s engagements, and the company continued to tour extensively throughout its 4 years.
