Ragen Carlile

Ragen Carlile holds a B.A. in Dance and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. She began her dance training at Enloe High School for the Performing Arts and was a member of the Rainbow Dance Ensemble in Raleigh, North Carolina. While in North Carolina, Ragen studied at the American Dance Festival and later became a member of the administrative staff. She began her professional performing career with the Jan Van Dyke Dance Group, a modern dance company based out of Greensboro, NC. She also performed various works with Rick McCullough, John Gamble, Marie Hoffman, and Tiffany Rhynard. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2000 and performed with Helios Dance Theater, (ie)dance, Fast Feet, Oni Dance, and Collage Dance Theatre. She served as the Administrative Director of the Dance Resource Center of Greater Los Angeles and the Ford Theatre Foundation Operations & Development Manager. After 12 years in Los Angeles, Ragen moved back to North Carolina where she works for the United Arts Council of Raleigh & Wake County Inc. managing the Artists in Schools program, which helps teach school teachers how to integrate art into lesson plans.
