Louise Reichlin & Dancers

Louise Reichlin & Dancers, formerly Louise Reichlin & Special Dancers, was founded in 1979 by Artistic Director Louise Reichlin. Together with Alfred Desio, Louise Reichlin formed the Los Angeles Choreographers and Dancers, a unique non-profit organization to house and present both Louise Reichlin & Dancers and Desio’s Zapped Taps together. Reichlin and Desio continued their partnership until Desio’s passing in 2007. The company debuted in 1979 with Reichlin’s The Tennis Dances at the John Anson Ford Theatre. In its 35 years of existence, the company has received multiple grants including grants from L.A. City and California Arts Council. The company has also toured to New York City and throughout Southern and Northern California.
