Garage Contemporary Ballet

Garage Contemporary Ballet was founded in 2006 by directors and choreographers Ryan Orion Beck and Kevin Jenkins. Together they create choreography that merges the styles of classical ballet and contemporary dance. Their work has been seen at festivals such as Celebrate Dance – San Diego, Ignite at The Vine, and Emerge. Their explorations into dance media have produced numerous dance films with cinematographers Marie Illene and Dana Vincent. Their 2009 season included Double Feature, a blend of choreography on both stage and screen with the program being evenly split between live performance and dance films.

Mission Statement:

Garage Contemporary Ballet is an arts organization rooted in contemporary and classical dance. Our efforts are to present engaging and accessible performances to a broad audience by combining classic art with pop culture.
