Martin Bernheimer

Martin Bernheimer is an award winning music and dance critic. He began his career writing for major publications in New York including New York Herald TribuneSaturday Review, and the New York Post. In 1965 he relocated to Los Angeles where he served as the chief music critic at the Los Angeles Times for 30 years. Currently, he is based in New York as the performing arts critic for England’s Financial Times. 

He received the ASCAP’s Deems Taylor Award in 1974 and 1978, and in 1981 he received the Pulitzer Prize for Criticism.
