Glorya Kaufman

GLORYA KAUFMAN, philanthropist, lives in Beverly Hills.  Known for her skilled tango dancing and extraordinary gifts to dance, she has supported dance companies and institutions in the Los Angeles area for many years.  Most recently, she gave undisclosed millions to the University of Southern California to establish the Glorya Kaufman School of Dance.  Ms. Kaufman was named to USC’s Board of Trustees.

The Kaufman School of Dance will include a new 50,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility, a faculty of professional dancers, choreographers, and historians.  Jodie Gates was named as Vice-Dean of the School.   She is responsible for the development of the faculty, the curriculum, and the building of the facility itself.

The first class of 15-20 students will be admitted in Fall 2015.
